CBSE Class 12th Marking Scheme 2022-23

From the Academic Session 2022-2023 onwards, the Central Board of Secondary Examination has decided to re-implement the old exam schedule which was used till the Academic Session 2019-20 CBSE Board examinations. Again, the final board exams will take place once a year as per the latest CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023. Every subject carries a weightage of 100 marks in total, out of which 80 marks are kept for the written theory exam and the rest 20 marks for internals/practicals and viva.

As far as the CBSE curriculum for the academic year 2022–2023 is concerned, there have also been some changes in the CBSE Class 12 Syllabus 2023. However, the reduction of 30% in the total syllabus is still in effect. • The CBSE Class 12 question paper will contain multiple-choice questions (MCQ), including case-based MCQs and MCQs on assertion-reasoning.
• The question paper will be designed such that it covers the entire syllabus and the exam duration will be 90 minutes.
• All the question papers will be sent by CBSE headquarters to the respective schools along with a marking scheme.
• The exams will be conducted under the supervision of the external centre superintendents and observers appointed by CBSE.
• Students will be required to answer the question paper in OMR sheets which, after scanning, may be directly uploaded to the CBSE portal or may be evaluated.
• Marks obtained in the board examinations will contribute to the final score of students in Class 12.
