Combined Defence Service Exam Pattern 2022

Intelligence And Personality Test
Intelligence And Personality Test consists of two stages – stage I and stage II. Those candidates who will be able to clear the stage I get appeared in stage II. The details are:-
(a) Stage I comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception* Description Test (PP&DT). To get shortlisted for stage II, individuals need to perform well in OIR Test and PP&DT.
(b) In Stage II, Interview/ Group Testing Officer Tasks/ Psychology Tests and the Conference will be conducted. These tests will be last long for over 4 days.
Contenders’ personality will be assessed by three different assessors viz.
- The Interviewing Officer (IO)
- Group Testing Officer (GTO)
- The Psychologist
Individuals’ overall performance will be taken into consideration for allotted marks by assessors. Although, marks will be allotted for Conference (based on Candidates’ performance in the three techniques and decision of the Board)
The motive behind conducting the tests: IO, GTO and Psych are to bring out the presence/absence of Officer Like Qualities and applicants’ trainability.
