CDS 1 2019

Today on 31-10-2018, Union Public Service Commission has released the CDS 1 Notification on its official website. Candidates can register for CDS 1 Exam 2019 on or before the last date that is 26-11-2018.

The candidates applying for Combined Defence Services Examination 1 should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Read all the instructions carefully before filling the CDS I Online Form.

CDS I Exam Dates!!!

CDS I 2019 Exam will be conducted on 03-02-2019. The Commission has introduced the facility of withdrawal of Application for those candidates who do not want to appear for the Examination. Online Applications can be withdrawn from 03-12-2018 to 10-12-2018.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality: A candidate must either be:

• a Citizen of India, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Essential Qualification:

For CDS IMA and Officers’ Training Academy: Applicants should possess Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

For CDS Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must hold Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.

For CDS Air Force Academy: Aspirants must possess Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Age Limit:

For IMA and Officers’ Training Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1996 and not later than 1st January, 2001 only are eligible.

For Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2 nd January, 1996 and not later than 1st January, 2001 only are eligible.

For Air Force Academy: Minimum age of applicants should be 20 years and maximum age should be 24 years as on 1st January, 2020 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1996 and not later than 1st January, 2000.

CDS 1 Application Fee:

• Applicants are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
• Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

CDS 1 Selection Process 2019:

Admission to above courses will be made on CDS I Result of the written examination to be conducted by Commission followed by intelligence and personality test by the Services Selection Board of candidates who qualify in the written examination.

Contenders who will qualify the CDS 1 Exam may appear for CDS 2 Exam 2019. Final selection will be done on basis of Personal Interview (SSB Interview). SSB procedure consists of two stage Selection process – stage I and stage II.

Way to Fill CDS 1 Online Application Form:

To CDS Apply Online, candidates first visit the official site that is upsconline.nic.in

• Then on home page, select and hit “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC” link.
• Then choose the “CDS 1 2018” and hit on “Part I Registration” link to fill CDS Form.

CDS Part I Registration:

• No applicants will have to fill basic information.
• On submission of details, applicants will be prompted to check the details and make correction in CDS 1 Registration Form.
• Before going to CDS 1 Online Registration, applicants must have scanned photograph.
• Then fill CDS I Online Application Form with all required details.
• Then pay application fee online though SBI net banking or cash through SBI bank Challan or through credit card/debit card.
• Submit the application fee and then again revisit the site for part two registration.

CDS Part II Registration:

• Complete the Part-II registration by filling the other details.
• On successful completion of your complete application, an auto-generated email will be sent on your registered email-id.
• In case email is not received by you please check / ensure that submission of Part-II of the Application has been made by you.
• Upload the scan copy of essential documents such as passport size photograph and signature.
• Check form at once and press on “Submit” button for final conformation against CDS Notification.
• At last, take a print out of system generated CDS 1 Application Form for further references.
