UPSC Civil Services Syllabus
Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Exam is conducted into two parts i.e. Preliminary exam (400 marks) and Mains exam (1750 marks).

- Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
- Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
- General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.

UPSC Civil Services Syllabus of General Studies Paper-II
- Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
- Decision-making and problem-solving.
- General mental ability.
- Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level)
UPSC Civil Services Pre Exam Pattern:
- UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam will be of 400 marks.
- Questions from two sections i.e. General Studies Paper-I and II will be asked in the exam.
- Each paper will runs for 2 hours.

UPSC Civil Services Mains Paper A Syllabus:
- In Paper A, candidates need to select any one of the Indian Languages but it’s not compulsory for the aspirants who are belonging to Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur and Nagaland.
UPSC Civil Services Syllabus 2019 Mains Paper B
- This paper is conducted to test eligibility of aspirants and to check skills of aspirants in English and Indian Language concerned.
