CTET Exam Pattern 2022
There are two papers conducted for CTET – Paper I & II. The CTET exam pattern 2022 is different for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Let’s understand the Examination Scheme involved in both the papers:
- Paper-I is organized for aspirants who wish to be teachers for Classes I to IV.
- Paper-II is organized for aspirants who wish to be teachers for Classes VI to VIII.
- Each paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- 1 mark is awarded to every correct answer while there is NO negative marking for incorrect answers.
- The paper is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test.
- Paper 1 consists of 5 sections while Paper 2 has 4 sections.

CTET Syllabus 2022
CBSE is the responsible authority for prescribing the CTET Syllabus 2022. In CTET Exam there will two papers. Paper 1 is being conducted for primary school teaching thus level of questions will be related to classes 1- 5 and paper 2 is conducted for elementary school teaching and questions will be asked of classes 6- 8 level.
Paper 1 comprises 5 sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies whereas Paper 2 has four sections viz. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Science/ Social Studies. Questions asked in both papers are compulsory to attempt.
