National Defence Academy
National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Armed Force’s joint defence service training institute where cadets of the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Air Force train together before going to their respective services academy for further pre-commission training. NDA Eligibility 2023:
Nationality for NDA Exam:
For NDA How To Join, Candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. Or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:
- Student may pass 12th class of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent exam from a well known State Education Board or institute.
- There is no specific stream like Arts, Commerce, and Science. Students of any stream may apply for NDA Exam.
For Air Force and Naval Wings:
- To enroll for Air Force and Naval Wings, students may pass 12th of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent from State Education Board along with Physics and Mathematics subjects.
- Those who are in final year of 12th examination are also eligible for NDA examination.
