Purpose of Examination
- Karnataka Secondary Education Examination board has conducted the 2-year Pre-university courses examination which is broadly classified under the categories of Humanities (Arts), Science & Commerce.
- After declaration of Karnataka 2nd PUC Online Result, supplementary exams will be held in the month of May 2019 and Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Merit List of SSLC will release in May first week

Around 7 Lakh students have appeared in examination out of which 4,08,421 students have passed, 54,692 got distinction. Not only that 2,13,611 students got first class marks and 82,532 students got second class rank and finally 57,586 students secure third rank.
Dakshnia Kannada, Udupi districts has the highest pass percentage where as Bidar and Chikkodi scored least. This year students of urban scored less than rural areas. Karnataka’s rural PU students scored 59.95% whereas urban students secured 59.45%. As compared to previous year there is an increase of 7.0% in Kar PUC 2nd Result.
